Every sword in our catalog is hand-forged by skilled artisans who’ve dedicated their lives to the craft of Japanese sword-making. We work with 18 master swordsmiths, each specializing in different forging traditions and steel types — including 1045 carbon steel, 1060 and 1095 high-carbon steel, T10 tool steel, Damascus (folded) steel, and the legendary Tamahagane.
The process hasn’t changed much in centuries, and that’s by design. Each blade is individually heated, hammered, folded, quenched, and tempered. Then comes the careful work of shaping, polishing, and fitting — the tsuka wrapped by hand, the tsuba selected for balance and beauty, the saya lacquered and finished. What you receive isn’t a product off an assembly line. It’s a piece of living tradition.
